Physics and General Science Teacher - Only EU passport

 We are looking for an enthusiastic Physics Teacher and General Science Teacher for our Secondary School from September. 

Promote the ‘mission’ and philosophy of the school

• Ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment, and reporting are of the highest quality and meet the varying learning and social needs of students
• Be flexible and adjust to the needs of the school, actively contributing to the school development plans and growth.
• Demonstrate thorough curriculum knowledge, teach, and assess effectively.
• Be able to teach Physics and Science to Secondary aged students
• Use the student tracking and monitoring process to advance student learning and enhance professional practice in line with the school’s aspirations and priorities.
• Take personal responsibility for professional development.
• Effectively communicate the school’s narrative, being an ambassador for our school at all times

LEARNING AND TEACHING

• Teaching Physics up to IGCSE level and up to IB higher level.
• Teaching general Science in Years 7 9
• Inspiring students to be passionate, curious, ex c ited learners.
• Setting consistently high standards.
• Develop effective approaches to learning in students.
• Monitoring, evaluating, and developing teaching.
• Planning effective teaching programmes which provide exemplary learning opportunities.
• Identifying and supporting individual learning needs.

Qualification/ Training:

• Teaching Qualification QTS/PGCE Teaching Qualification QTS/PGCE –– EssentialEssential
• Bachelor's degree in Science/Physics Bachelor's degree in Science/Physics –– Essential Experience: Essential Experience:
• Proven track record with at least two years’ teaching experience of Physics/Science
• Proven track record with at least two years’ teaching experience of Physics/Science–– Essential Essential
• Experience of teaching A Level or IB Physics (preferred)
• Good classroom practice and interpersonal skills Essential
• Demonstrable evidence of innovating and adapting curriculum to engage children and enable them to reach their potential Essential
• Working in partnership with parents Essential Skills:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills Essential
• Ability to teach different age ranges and English proficiency levels Essential
• Ability to engage children and enable them to perform to high expectations Essential
• Use of iSAMS Desirable (but will be taught to successful candidate)
